Laredo, TX --- The Lady Rams volleyball team battled a very tall Texas A&M International volleyball team where four of the eight players were at least six feet tall. With the Lady Rams having on one player over the height of six feet in sophomore Mallori Oliver from Anchorage, Alaska, they had to work hard in playing tough defense where volleyballs were flying at them hard and fast.
Oliver had her best career match with 10 kills with only 2 errors in 17 swings. She also contributed 2 solo blocks and 1 assist block but was able touch and help slow down on 15 other attacks from the Dust devils of TAMIU. Libero Stephanie Castro finished the match with 8 digs which moved her into third place in total digs for a season at 311 and she still has 20 matches to go. Junior setter Adrienne Ringer who directs the Lady Rams offense had 21 assists giving her at season total of 364 and moving her into third place for assists in a season and her 7.91 assist per game moves her into first place in that category.
Freshman Courtney Morris added 7 kills to help the offense with Ringer serving up 2 aces and helping out on defense with 6 digs and 1 solo block.
