Track qualifies runners and a jumper for Nationals Minimize
  

San Angelo, TX -  The HT Men's and Women's Track teams both qulaified members for the outdoor nationals in St. Louis. 

 

The 4 x 400m relay team qualified with a time of 3:17.21.  The team is comprised of Rosangel Rodriguez, Garfield Sinclair, Alfraid Manning, and Chris Humphries.  Angela Brown broke a school record while qualifying in the triple jump, with a leap of 37'-1.00".

 

Another notable achievement was Lawrence T's mark in the men's triple jump, the first ever for the HT men.  He jumped 40'- 9.00".

 

Other results for HT in this meet:

 

Keenan Curry: 2nd in the men's 100 meter dash (10.9); 5th in the 200m (22.59).

Manning, Sinclair, and Rodriguez came 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, respectively, in the 400m dash, with times of 49.05, 49.38, and 50.16.

Javier Jimenez: 4th in the 400m hurdles (57.41); 11th in the javelin (126'-00").

Lawrence T: 7th in the long jump (19'-7.00").

Roy Burns: 8th inthe shot put (36'-9.5").

Men's Team Ranking: 5th with 52 points.

Women's Team Ranking: 10th with 4 points.

 

Angelo State won the men's meet with 204 points followed by Texas A&M-Commerce, Trinity, and McMurry.  Angelo State also won the women's meet with 243 points.
