It was an exciting and tough fought match at Branch Gymnasium in HT's home opener.  More than 200 fans came out on the first day of classes to support the Lady Rams against Howard Payne University.  HPU prevailed 26-30, 22-30, and 28-30.

TreeAndrea Grundy led HT with 6 kills with Melinda Sowers adding 4 to our offensive support under the leadership of setter Adrienne Ringer with 15 assists. Danielle Tisdale had 5 ace serves with help from Stephanie Castro. On the defensive side Kendriqua Spears finished with 4 solo blocks and TreeAndrea contributed 2 with Natali Sandlin having 9 digs with help from Melinda Sowers with 6.

The volleyball team travels to Denton, Texas, today to play a match against NCAA Division II Texas Women’s University. I accidentally left one of our team members off of the last email and have added her to this one. We will be leaving at 12:00 noon and will return late tonight.
