Natali Sandlin and TreeAndrea Grundy led the Lady Rams offense with 9 and 7 kills respectively. Grundy along with Melinda Sowers had 2 aces apiece. Adrienne Ringer set the offense with 21 assists and also had 6 digs. Stephanie Castro had 12 digs while Trenique Baugh had 2 blocks.

It was a very close match and HT had several opportunities to win the first two sets and let it slip away. Melinda Sowers and TreeAndrea Grundy led the offense with 7 kills each and Sowers contributed with 8 digs on defense. Stephanie Castro again led the defense with 11 digs while Grundy and Kendriqua Spear controlled the net with 2 and 3 blocks respectively. Natali Sandlin led the serving attack with 3 aces.

HT is now 1-7 and will play NCAA Division III Hardin Simons University at 10:00 am and then Lubbock Christian University at 3:00 pm before returning to their first home match on Tuesday, September 5, 6:30 pm against Howard Payne University.
