The Lady Rams volleyball team is in Brownsville this weekend for new RRAC member UT-Brownsville's invitational tournament.

While very scrappy and competitive, the squad's opening matches exposed some deficiences which Coach Ronnie Kaase and his Lady Rams must find an answer.

The first match against a Mexican college, the University of Tampico, the Lady Rams fell 14-30, 23-30, and 19-30.  The second match later in the afternoon saw the squad drop all three games to Texas A & M International 16-30, 10-30, and 18-30.

Saturday's matches are against UT-Brownsville and Monterrey Tech.
