The Lady Rams volleyball finished up play in the UT-Brownsville invitational tournament on Saturday losing both matches. The first one was against host team UT-Brownsville, dropping all three games 12-30, 10-30, 10-30 and then later in the afternoon lost to Monterrey Tech 11-30, 15-30, 14-30. The Lady Rams are a very young team and are just starting to fit into their positions on the court. Adrienne Ringer has established herself as the starting setter while back up setter Stephanie Castro and Danielle Tisdale are competing hard for the libero position. There are four athletes competing for the outside hitter and right side hitter position.
Coach Kaase and his staff are very pleased with the work effort, attitude, and dedication this year’s team has shown since beginning with preseason back on the 13th of August.
The Lady Rams will be traveling to the Wayland Baptist University Tournament this weekend for six more matches and are looking forward to ironing out some of the kinks to be prepared for our first home match on Tuesday, September 5th against Howard Payne University.
